Cat Deely, host of the popular television program So You Think You Can Dance , secretly wed beau Patrick Kielty in a low-key wedding ceremony in Rome, according to The Huffinton Post . The event, which was relatively small when compared to her celebrity counterparts, reportedly took place over the weekend, much to the surprise of her countless fans.
Approximately 60 friends and family members turned out to see the TV host tie the proverbial knot with Kielty, who she began dating back in May. After a whirlwind romance, the pair decided to make things official with a secret Italian wedding.
According to the Belfast Telegraph , Cat Deely and Patrick Kielty’s wedding was a covert affair, with guests sworn to secrecy about the event.
“The wedding plans were top secret — friends of Paddy and Cat only found out in the last few days,” an anonymous source close to the pair explained. “It was a very intimate service with just 60 friends and family. Their immediate families have known for a bit longer, but everyone was under strict instructions not to say a word. Cat was stunning, she looked absolutely beautiful, and the reception afterwards was pretty quiet too by normal standards.”
During an interview with Kelly Ripa, Cat Deely explained her newfound love and was seemingly overjoyed with finding her perfect man.
“I am no longer a single lady. I am dating a really old friend of mine. I have known him for 10 years,” she said. “I don’t know. Ladies just like to take their time. Now I have finally seen the light.”
The ceremony reportedly took place at St. Isidore’s College Church, which featured Cat Deely decked out in a lacy white wedding dress. Patrick Kielty, who flew out his parish priest to oversee the couple’s nuptials, opted for a navy suit without a tie. A romantic honeymoon is already underway.
