Bob Saget is looking at his Full House daughters in a whole new way. The sitcom star made a rather surprising comment about his TV daughters, Candace Cameron Bure and Jodie Sweetin, during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert . In the interview, Saget said his former child star co-stars , whom he’s worked with since they were little girls, are “kind of hot.”

Bob Saget, and longtime co-stars John Stamos and Dave Coulier, appeared on Colbert’s late night show on Wednesday to talk about the Fuller House reboot, which has just been picked up for a second season by Netflix. Bob, 59, said he has stayed in touch with his TV daughters, Cameron Bure, 39, and Sweetin, 34, who were age 10 and 4 when he met them, and that they’ve grown into beautiful young women with kids of their own. But then Saget called them “hot,” which seemed kind of creepy considering he’s known them since they were kids and played their dad for eight years.

“These girls are beautiful, they’re kind of hot.”

Of course, Stamos jumped right in to remind Saget that, “They’re your daughters!” And Dave Coulier went on to compare Bob Saget to Donald Trump, who once said on The View that if his Ivanka Trump wasn’t his daughter he would probably be dating her .

Bob Saget was on a roll during his late night appearance on Colbert’ show. In fact, the whole Fuller House trio kept the CBS censors on their toes. While Saget’s comment that his TV daughters are “hot” seemed a little weird, the actor made sure to point out that he was always a good fatherly figure and role model to the child actresses while they worked together on the classic ABC sitcom.

“I never said f**k in front of the kids ever.”

Now that Fuller House has been picked up for a second season, Bob Saget will be back once again as the Tanner patriarch. But after that comment about his daughters, we may have a hard time looking at Danny Tanner the same way ever again.

Then again, Bob Saget has never really had a filter. While he played clean cut dad Danny Tanner on Full House for eight seasons, he is also a standup comic with a sharp tongue. Saget detailed his road from family man to “filthy comedian” in his 2014 memoir Dirty Daddy , a book so full of foul language and off-color jokes that his own mother couldn’t finish reading it. But in the book, Bob described Cameron Bure, Sweetin, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as “surrogate daughters.” He even changed one of the Olsen twins’ diapers on the Full House set.

In real life, Saget has three grown daughters with his ex-wife, Sherri Kramer. In an interview with People , Saget described his girls as the best people he knows.

“They are the light of my life. I am a fortunate man in that all three of my daughters are exceptional. Very high beings, very smart people, very wonderful and very brilliant, very beautiful. They’re all artists.”

While Bob Saget thinks his Full House daughters have grown up into beautiful young women too, he didn’t stop there during his Late Show appearance. In addition to their sit-down with the late night host, Bob Saget, John Stamos, and Dave Coulier starred in a spoof Full House spinoff called Full House Nights . The dark spoof was a cop drama spinoff of the wholesome ’90s sitcom, and it was unlike anything you’ve ever seen these characters in before.
