When Jessica Simpson started looking for women to model her new clothing line, one name immediately jumped to mind: Ashlee Simpson.
Ashlee Simpson was picked by her big sister to model the Jessica Simpson Fall 2013 collection.
Ashlee said: “I have a pretty cool sister with an amazing sense of style, and I was honored to get to do the shoot… We keep it in the family. Jessica’s a fun one to work with.”
The younger Simpson sister said that she gets a lot of her style from Jessica but admits that they both have a different approach to the way they dress. Ashlee says that Jessica is a bit more girly while she doesn’t really like to wear dresses.
Ashlee said : “[Jessica’s] a bit more girly, and I kind of like to bring an edge to my looks. I do like to be in dresses, I just like to toughen it.”
The contrast of styles comes out in the new photoshoot. Jessica designed some “girly” dresses for her new collection while Ashlee decided to take them for a run through the dirt.
Ashlee said: “We were all having a good time, kicking dirt in pretty dresses,” Ashlee says. “They did tell us to look for ticks! And I was like, ‘Okay, I’m just going to roll in the dirt.”
