Ashlee Simpson attended the launch of her sister Jessica Simpson’s new clothing line last night and she had someone special on her arm: Diana Ross’ son Evan Ross.
Rumors have been circulating about the potential new couple for months but it looks like things are finally official. Ashlee and Evan held hands, hugged, and were affectionate with each other throughout the night.
The Hollywood Gossip reports that Ross accompanied Simpson to the hotspot Above Allen in New York City. Simpson, who recently modeled Jessica’s clothes in a new photoshoot, was hosting the event.
It’s unclear how long Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson have been dating but the rumors started this summer. Simpson and Ross reportedly met at a club in New York City and have been friends for several years.
A source said : “Evan and Ashlee have been friends for a really long time, probably ten years… They know each other from the club scene and have tons of mutual friends.”
Ashlee and Evan haven’t officially confirmed that they are dating but the didn’t do much to hide their affection last night.
A source said: “It helps that they were friends first. They have a long bond. They already know each other really well.”
This has been a pretty big weekend for Ashlee. In addition to modeling her sister’s clothes and finding a new love with Evan Ross, Ashlee also starred in a one-weekend only version of Chicago.
