Ryan Edwards’ alleged drug use has taken center stage on Teen Mom OG and off-screen, rumors continue to swirl in regard to what may have led up to the reality star’s reported trip to rehab.
Following a couple of reports regarding Dalis Connell’s alleged knowledge about Ryan Edwards’ struggles, a shocking details about his past has been revealed by one of his co-stars.
Earlier this week, as Dalis Connell feuded on Twitter with Ryan Edwards’ mother, Farrah Abraham’s on-again, off-again boyfriend, Simon Saran, interjected himself into the drama and suggested that a woman named Kiki had given Edwards pills while filming Teen Mom OG .
“I wonder if I should talk about [Kiki] giving Ryan pills during shoots or save that for another day? #TeenMomOG,” Saran tweeted , according to a report by In Touch Weekly on June 6.
As soon as Simon Saran’s post was shared, fans immediately began to speculate upon who Kiki was. A short time later, one woman noted that a woman named Kiki was previously employed by MTV as a producer of Teen Mom OG . While Saran didn’t mention the woman’s last name, fans claimed Kiki had previously worked with a number of the show’s cast members, including Amber Portwood and Farrah Abraham, before Portwood allegedly had her fired for breaking her contract with the network.
Ryan Edwards and those close to him have stayed silent in regard to the rumor but understandably, his claim has led to tons of commotion on Twitter.
Ryan Edwards’ alleged drug use was first reported in late 2015. As fans will recall, the reality star and dad to Maci Bookout’s eight-year-old son, Bentley, was seen looking extremely bug-eyed and exhibiting strange behavior on Teen Mom OG Season 6A. However, at the time, Edwards denied he was using drugs. A Teen Mom OG producer named Jaala Webster also denied he was getting high during filming, telling photographers, via Radar Online , “Sometimes he’s tired.”
Months later, Ryan Edwards’ alleged drug use was brought up yet again but this time, the reports appeared far more factual as they came from his former girlfriend, Bookout, who had reportedly been tipped off by a text message from an acquaintance. The reports were also followed by an E! News report which suggested Ryan Edwards had entered treatment sometime in May.
In other Ryan Edwards news, the reality dad reportedly got married just a short time before he was rumored to have begun his stint in rehab. As fans may recall, Edwards proposed to Mackenzie Standifer at the end of last year and the moment was recently seen on Teen Mom OG . The couple had been dating for just months at the time of Ryan Edwards’ proposal and during a previous season of the show, Standifer had caught the bouquet at Maci Bookout’s wedding.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Ryan Edwards’ most recent rehab stint is reportedly his second. As his ex-girlfriend Dalis Connell revealed during an interview earlier this month, he previously checked into treatment in 2012.
“We admitted him to outpatient rehab in December 2012,” Connell revealed to Radar Online on June 5. “He was taking Roxycodone.”
“His mom was 100 percent in denial,” Connell recalled. “His dad was the one that pulled the secret out of me. That’s why he went to rehab. His dad had been fed up. I drove there that night and we had an intervention.”
