Teen stabs 5-month old son, is fatally shot by police in Los Angeles
17-year-old Christopher Earl Glass, a teenage father from Los Angeles, and his 5-month-old son are both dead following a violent tragedy that began when Glass abducted the child from a sitter and threatened to harm him.
An Amber Alert was issued for Glass, and police say they witnessed the teen inside a car, stabbing the baby boy.
Deputies spotted the father’s car after an Amber Alert was issued about 3:30 p.m. As a pursuit began, they saw him “motioning as if he was stabbing the baby as he drove the car,” said sheriff’s Capt. Mike Parker.
A pursuit of Glass ended when he crashed the vehicle into a building. The child, whose name was not released, was found inside the “mangled” car, and Glass fled on foot, attempting to break into a local residence. Deputies fired on the suspect, who was fatally wounded. The infant was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
