Superman 75th Anniversary Animated Short From Zack Snyder Debuts [Video]

The Superman Animated Short from Zack Snyder created for the 75th Anniversary of the character has finally made its debut after months of waiting.

DC Comics presented the clip at the New York Comic Con over the weekend to the delight of fans who have been anticipating the release for a long time and now it has arrived online.

The short includes the 75 years of Superman, since its inception in the comic book until the most recent version of the character in Man Of Steel.

DC Comics presented the short like this:

From the creative minds of Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) and Bruce Timm (Superman: The Animated Series) and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this short follows Superman through the years, from his first appearance on the cover of Action Comics #1 to Henry Cavill in this year’s Man of Steel…all in two minutes!

Imagine that!

To celebrate the 75 anniversary Zack Snyder created the Superman Animated Short after the success of his film Man Of Stee which starred British actor Henry Cavill as Clark Kent and his alter ego, Superman, the original superhero.

The film did so well and revived the enthusiasm of fans of the character that now it is expected that new video games, comics, and reboots will result from the film.

Screenrant reported in June that Snyder, DC, and Warner Bros. were pulling all the stops and calling in many of the Superman veterans such as animated genius Bruce Timm (Superman: The Animated Series) with whom Snyder worked to make the short.

There were rumors that Timm was “stepping away” from DC Comics for a time, as fans speculated that he was leaving the division, while insiders said he would return in “a big way.”

The 75 Anniversary Superman Animated Short includes the music theme we all associate with Superman. Isn’t it great to hear that?
