Naomi Watts Made First Move On Liev Schreiber

Don’t let anyone tell you that it’s the man’s responsibility to approach a woman. If Naomi Watts would have believed that outdated sentiment she would have never have started dating Liev Schrieber.

Watts, who appears on the cover of Allure magazine this month, said that she mad a rather “ballsy” move to win Schrieber’s affection.

The beautiful model met Schreiber at the Met Gala in New York City. The actor was getting ready to leave so Watts was forced to take action.

Watts said: “I was wildly attracted to him and his work, so I said something cheeky as he was about to walk out…. It was a lot more ballsy than I would ever normally be… Normally I want a guy to make the first move, and he wasn’t. Then he got up to say he was leaving and I was like, ‘Oh, s–t. Probably another couple years are going to pass by.'”

Watts didn’t want to let that happen so she asked Schreiber if he would like her number.

Watts adds: “I said, ‘Don’t you want my digits?’ Because I couldn’t possibly say, ‘would you like my phone number?’ It made him laugh. He texted me five minutes later saying, ‘Would you like to go for a drink now?’ And I said, ‘No, I’ll meet you for breakfast tomorrow.'”

Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts met the next morning for breakfast and they’ve been together ever since. Watts and Schreiber have two children together, Alexander, 6, and Samuel, 4.
