New Xbox game controlled with PEW PEW PEW

PewPewPewPewPewPewPewPewPew is the name of a new Xbox 360 indie game that is controlled by the mystical power of PEW PEW PEW! Judging by this, it could also be the most annoying game to watch kids play ever.

The premise is pure playground: two players use their Xbox microphones to steer a little spaceman through a side-scrolling level full of obstacles. One player controls the spaceman’s jetpack by making PYYOOOSSHHHH noises (handy, as I make those sounds for 80% of my waking life), while the other operates the laser with their ‘Pews!’ Pretty odd, as the video below attests.

While I can imagine PPPPPPPPP (its shortened name, I am informed) being pretty novel for around the first 42 seconds, I’m guessing this will live or die on its level design. I’ll get to test that theory soon, because it’s out on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel shortly, probably for mere pennies.
