Charlie Hunnam Out Of ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’

Charlie Hunnam has dropped out of Fifty Shades Of Grey, according to as statement from the studio behind the making of the film.

The shocking news comes as Hunnam was receiving criticism from fans who were not happy with him as the magnate billionaire Christian Grey.

Part of the statement released reads:

“The filmmakers of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.

Whether this is accurate to the real reasons behind the departure of the Sons Of Anarchy star or not we cannot say.

Christian Grey has been a much talked about character since E.L. James novels became one of the most popular books selling millions of copies worldwide.

The steamy sexual relationship between the mature business man and recent college graduate Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades has brought on speculation the likes we have not seen in a long time.

When Charlie Hunnam was announced as the pick for the role, there was outcry as many believed he is not the personification of Christian Grey.

Many fans believe someone like Matt Bomer (White Collar) or Henry Cavill (Man Of Steel) would most closely resemble in their minds what Christian should look like.

Author E.L. James first warned and then shared the shocking news about Charlie Hunnam’s departure from the project.

And with that Fifty Shades Of Grey, the movie, is back to square one, searching for the perfect Christian Grey, which is not Charlie Hunnam.
