'Ambushed' trailer hits with Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture

The Ambushed trailer has just been released, giving movie lovers a brief look at the new action film starring Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture.

Dolph Lundgren has been known for his muscular roles ever since starring in Rocky IV as Sylvester Stallone’s opponent Drago and Venz in the James Bond thriller A View to a Kill. He’s been an action film star his whole career and you’d never guess that he actually has a Masters degree in chemical engineering based on the roles he’s landed.

Ambushed also stars action film veteran and former three-time UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture. This is the second time that Lundgren and Couture have shared the silver screen since they teamed up in the The Expendables.

Originally titled Rush (which ended up going to a racing movie starring Chris Hemsworth), Ambushed is about government agent Maxwell (Dolph Lundgren), who goes up against the cocaine dealers of Los Angeles and must face off against Vincent Camastra (Vinnie Jones) and dirty cop Jack Reiley (Randy Couture).

The Ambushed trailer begins with a man telling a crowd that someone’s gone missing and Vinnie Jones mentions, jokingly, having to kill somebody.

We hear a man who may be a rookie cop thank someone for bringing him in on the case. He tells his partner, Dolph Lundgren, that what he did with a cartel is legend. It turns out Maxwell brought in 48 indictments against the drug dealers.

The two question a man with a cup of coffee who says he was the first on the scene of a crime.

The trailer asks “When justice crosses the line, who can you trust?” Then things begin to escalate as someone fires a gun and a large amount of money changes hands. It appears to be a case of good cop versus bad cop, and the stakes are high.

After a few scenes of gunfire and parking lot brawling, we get a tantalizing glimpse of the action packed film.

What do you think of the Ambushed trailer? Are you excited to see Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Vinnie Jones in a new action film?
