Justin Bieber Supports Ariana Grande Over Jai Brooks And It Only Took One Tweet

Justin Bieber has shown his loyalty to singer Ariana Grande in her bitter estrangement from ex-boyfriend Jai Brooks on Twitter, perhaps aptly considering the heartthrob’s dominance of it.

There a quite a few parts to this story but we’ll break it down for you.

The eagle-eyed folks at Nickutopia spotted Bieber’s un-retweet of a congratulatory message sent by Brooks to the Canadian some time after he premiered his new single “Heartbreaker” on Oct. 7.

Brooks, an 18-year-old member of Australian comedy YouTube group The Janoskians, wrote:

“Heartbreaker is such an amazing song, well done justin you killed it. Haters can’t say sh[**]it.”

The tweet stayed on Justin’s timeline for a while, along with other retweets of fans raving over his emotional, R&B slow jam. At some point, however, it disappeared.

Nickutopia muse Ariana, who shares a mutual manager with Bieber in Scooter Braun, most likely brought the “Baby” star up to speed with the state of play between her and Brooks in the interim.

For those unaware, the “Baby I” songstress ended her relationship with Jai earlier this year and is now dating The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes. The new couple recently declared their loved-up-ness on (you guessed it) Twitter.

To say Brooks hasn’t taken the news well is an understatement. On Oct. 6, he blasted Ariana via Twitlonger, accusing the Nickelodeon star of cheating. “Yes I was cheated on. Yes it does suck. Yes I was left for another man, ” he begins, in what is a lengthy statement, later saying:

“Today was supposed to be our one year anniversary but instead I’m writing this. Do you know how sh[**]it this makes me feel? How crushed it makes me feel? (sic).”

For her part, Grande protested her innocence the following morning in a series of tweets.

“Woke up this morning in complete and utter shock… I guess I shouldn’t be so surprised,” the 20-year-old wrote, adding:

“You said to me if I didn’t come back to you, you’d make me look bad to the entire world… I’m no longer afraid of you or your lies anymore.I’m going to be the lady my mother raised and carry myself with class and dignity… But I will never be any man’s press opportunity.”

Grande continued:” Girls… RESPECT YOURSELVES. Keep your head held high and speak only kind words. Know your truth… no one can ever take that away from you. It’s always ok to defend yourself. My fans know what kind of person I am. Never let any man discredit u or the values you were raised with (sic).”

Brook’s response to his removal from Bieber’s timeline pulled no punches. Following his “(sic)*pop a trace* (sic)” posts, his last tweet on the matter appeared to slam Bieber without mentioning the “Baby” star’s name.

“Being in Hollywood, I’ve learnt how fake people can actually be. I will never be like that, it’s pathetic. F_k that s_t,” Jai raged.

Previously rumored to be romantically involved, Grande supported Bieber for the last three North American dates of his Believe world tour. The pair hit the headlines after Ariana was persuaded to post a backstage kiss selfie between the two.

But the songstress subsequently shot down “hooking up” rumors with Bieber in an interview with J-14.

“It’s funny, everybody thinks we spent so much time together because we were touring,” she told the publication. “But really, I think I saw him once, and it was for about five minutes.”

In other interviews, Grande has praised Bieber’s new music and said she wants to duet.

More recently the pair featured in an Instagram, widely regarded to be Photoshopped and denied as such by sources close to both singers, which purported to show Justin with a joint in his hand while a “fake” Ariana sat nearby.
