Miley Cyrus Is Pants-Free On Jimmy Fallon [Video]
Miley Cyrus continued Twerkfest 2013 with a pants-free appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show — but told the late-night chat show host that there’s more to her than sexual act-like dancing and suggestively licking stuff.
While Miley Cyrus is selling us hard on the sexy, post-Disney persona she has crafted, the “Wrecking Ball” songstress has also insisted she isn’t just a twerk-machine. Not while twerking, alas, but the protestations were sort of… adjacent.
Cyrus stopped by Fallon’s gig to show us how she’s more than sex-based marketing, but she also declined to wear pants for the appearance.
Donning a simple big white shirt and some accessories, Miley quipped to Fallon she was “catching pneumonia in your studio right now.”
Jimmy replied:
“It’s very cold… but you have to wear clothes when you come on here.”
Miley countered:
“I asked if I could bring a blanket and they looked at me like I was crazy.”
The convo turned to SNL, and Cyrus said she needed a platform to indicate she’s not all twerking, licking, and twerklicking. She explained:
“I feel like that was a good time for me to kind of show people kind of that I don’t just twerk and lick stuff. I can sing. And I can act a little bit, too! I’m multitalented. My parents are proud.”
If you think Cyrus is a flash in the pan, though, you might be mistaken — the singer recalls how she got Disney to take her on as a very persistent “ugly” kid, explaining:
“I started auditioning when I was 11 and they told me I was too small, too young and had too few of teeth, because I only had about four teeth in my mouth at that time. And those teeth that I did have had big ol’ brackets on ’em, so I was really cute… it was like two years later and they were like, ‘Okay, fine, fine—we’ll hire her.’ Because I wouldn’t quit going to the auditions. Even if they didn’t call me back, I would fly myself to L.A. and keep going back because I knew it’s what I wanted.”
