‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Peter Dinklage Joins Leprechaun Comedy


Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage reportedly signed on for an R-rated leprechaun comedy that’s quickly coming together at Paramount Pictures.

Although the actor is probably best known for his turn in the hit HBO series, the guy is actually a very gifted comedian. In addition to his famous scene in the Christmas classic Elf, Dinklage starred in both versions of the comedy Death at a Funeral.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Dinklage will play a man who tells everyone that he’s a leprechaun in the as-of-yet-untitled flick. Bad Words scribe Andrew Dodge is penning the script for the upcoming comedy. Mary Parent and Cale Boyter will produce via Disruption Entertainment.

Details about the project are few and far between at the moment. However, Screen Crush explains that the forthcoming Peter Dinklage comedy is essentially “Bad Santa but with a leprechaun.” In other words, expect lots of swearing and plenty of R-rated scenarios.

Fans of the actor definitely have plenty of material to keep them busy for a while. Not only is Peter Dinklage joining Paramount’s leprechaun comedy, he’s also on-board for the next season of Game of Thrones. The new episodes should arrive next year.

The Inquisitr previously reported that Dinklage’s fantasy horror flick Knights of Badassdom is finally getting released in North America. The folks at Entertainment One recently acquired distribution rights for the long-delayed flick.
