Presidents Cup Streaker: Naked Woman Supports Team America, Avoids Arrest

A Presidents Cup streaker did her best to pump up Team USA, and in the end may have made a miraculous escape from security.

The incident happened on Sunday, the final day of the Presidents Cup at Muirfield in Dublin, Ohio. The enthusiastic young woman donned a red, white, and blue thong and draped herself in an American flag before she took off down the 18th green.

Golfer Fred Couples had a close-up view of the Presidents Cup streaker as she ran past, and photographers there to capture the event snapped plenty of photos.

The gambit worked. Her patriotic display was enough to will the Americans to victory (or at least distract their opponents). After her display the Americans put the final touches on their fifth consecutive win over the International team.

The incident wasn’t anything new for Tiger Woods. The golfer was the target of another interloper at last year’s British Open. A blonde woman wearing only a bikini rushed onto the course at Carnoustie as Tiger was playing the 18th hole. Woods was lining up his final putt of the day when the woman ran up and kissed him on the cheek.

Woods finished seventh in the tournament that year, though it’s not clear if the kiss had anything to do with it (and historic evidence would say that Tiger Woods is somewhat familiar with female admirers).

Streakers are not uncommon at sporting events. Drunk spectators have been known to slip past barriers at sporting events and run around on the field for a bit before inevitably being captured and tackled by security.

But this story appears to have a different ending. Sources say the Presidents Cup streaker actually evaded security and may have escaped without being arrested.
