Marina Shifrin, ‘I Quit’ Video Girl, Offered A Job With Queen Latifah [Video]

Well, looks like Marina Shifrin wasn’t out of a job for too long.

The young University of Missouri graduate who became a viral sensation last week after quitting her job in a dance video set to Kanye West’s “Gone” has been offered another employment opportunity doing essentially the same thing that she was doing for Next Media Animation… but for Queen Latifah.

During a taped appearance on her daytime TV talk show, Queen Latifah offered to create a job for Shifrin – “digital content producer.” This is more or less what she was doing for the Taiwanese company she recently left, though she bemoaned that her former boss focused too much on views and clicks at the expense of quality content.

At first, Shifrin thought that Latifah was joking. Latifah responded candidly: She’s the boss, she hires people.

Latifah said that she’d do a quick interview backstage, but the show ended before we found out whether Shifrin accepted the position.

The show was taped Thursday. As of Friday morning, Shifrin made no mention of working for Latifah on her Twitter account. In fact, she seemed to imply the opposite:

Next Media Animation, meanwhile, is finding the strength to move on after Shifrin’s epic walkout. They created their own video which follows the same format at Shifrin’s viral hit. In it, they wish her luck and announced that they are hiring. That video has also gone viral with over 3,000,000 hits as of this posting.
