Shaquille O’Neil ‘Chokes’ Tow Truck Driver [Video]

Over Shaquille O’Neal‘s career, the 7’1 basketballer has been known for being quite the gentle giant. On Tuesday night, O’Neil was anything but “gentle” when he realized a boot had been put on his car.

That said, Shaquille O’Neil tracked down the tow truck driver and decided to teach him a humorous lesson. Finding the humor in the situation, Shaq found Spence Beck of ABS Booting and decided to choke him out. Of course there wasn’t any real choking going on, as the whole action is clearly staged, but that didn’t stop Beck from taking a video and posting it online.

According to TMZ the tow truck driver put the device on Shaquille O’Neal’s vehicle outside of an Atlanta restaurant. The meter wasn’t paid so Beck got the call. In true Shaq fashion, instead of saying he was a big basketball player to get the boot off of his car, he said:

“I am a U.S. Mashal, I need you to remove this boot.”

Oddly enough, Shaquille was deputized a few years ago in 2005, so he wasn’t exactly joking about his position.

In 2005 O’Neal was given an honorary U.S. marshal title, and is allowed to arrest child porn suspects. Back in 2006, O’Neal spoke to Page Six having said:

“I do not have to run after the people or tackle them. They always surrender peacefully. And I’m never afraid. When I arrive, they are really already under arrest. I am not a hero. My father was my hero growing up. He was an army drill sergeant and an FBI agent.”

In the video of Shaquille “choking out” the tow truck driver, Spence Beck is seen taking the boot off of Shaquille’s car, with O’Neal video taping him. In the video O’Neal can be heard saying:

“This is Spence Beck. He put a boot on my f**king car. I’m gonna kill you! They got me, damn!”

Beck replied by saying:

“I got Shaq!”
