Google Translate For iPhone Enters Apple App Store

iPhone customers today received a Google gift, the ability to download and use Google Translate for their mobile devices.

While Google Translate had been made available in an HTML5 format, the actual application was never released via the Apple App Store.

The HTML5 version was also missing several important enhancements including speak-to-translate which offers 15 languages, the option to listen to translations in 23 languages and a full-screen mode for easier text reading.

While those features are all added bonuses, the Android app still has a few exclusive tricks up its sleeve including conversation mode which translates words on the fly.

Have you tried out the iPhone version of the app yet? Leave us a message with your first opinions of the program.
