‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Tickets Now On Sale Ahead Of November 22 Opening


The much anticipated sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire tickets are now on sale for the November 22 opening.

This is welcome news for fans of the Suzanne Collins saga who have been patiently waiting for the second installment in the trilogy to hit theaters. They still have to wait a little over a month though, but at least they can have a sure spot at the theater.

Catching Fire stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, who beats all odds and wins The Hunger Games do or die competition.

The website Mockingjay, the name of the last two installments in the series, excitedly announces that there are only 52 days left, and counting, for the film.

Catching Fire tickets are available at the site Fandango and if you purchase in advance you get a free download of the movie’s soundtrack.

In case you haven’t read the books, and many haven’t as they prefer to just watch the movie, the full synopsis of Catching Fire is as follows,

The Hunger Games saga continues in this sequel that finds a revolution brewing as Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) take a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts, and President Snow (Donald Sutherland) plots their downfall during preparations for The Quarter Quell, which only occurs every 25 years in celebration of the Capitol’s victory over the districts.

It has become customary for big blockbuster Hollywood flicks to hold advance ticket sales for fans to have access to. At times, the studio partners with a retailer to offer a special screening prior to the official opening.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire tickets are expected to be very much welcomed by fans. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Donald Sutherland with Francis Lawrence directing. It opens in theaters November 22.
