Miley Cyrus is in New York City this week to promote her new album Bangerz, and in celebration of that release, the singer took to Twitter where she posted a selfie.
The self-taken photograph appears to be from inside Miley Cyrus’ hotel room and only shows half of her face. The photo was uploaded to Twitter on Monday, September 30.
In a caption for her photo, the former Disney star and singer quotes Jay Z and Alicia Keys’ 2009 hit “Empire State of Mind” by writing: “There’s nothing you can’t do.”
Miley Cyrus will remain in New York City for the next week as she prepares to host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on October 5. Cyrus will host the show and perform as its musical guest.
The Bangerz album will drop on October 8 and Miley also shared some new lyrics from the new release:
“I always knew I never wanted this. I never thought it could happen. You acted like you wanted this but then you led me on… Oh you broke my heart. I told you I was weak for love. Then you went around & did what you wanted to do. Now I’m cryinnnnnn.”
Given the nature of those lyrics, and Miley’s recent split from fiance Liam Hemsworth, Twitter was quickly abuzz with chatter about the nature of her new song.
If you can’t get enough of Miley Cyrus, she is also dropping her MTV special Miley: The Movement on October 3, at 10PM ET.
Will you be running out to buy Miley’s new CD or download her tracks online?
