Hollie-May Saker: Supermodel Punches Topless Female Protester
Supermodel Hollie-May Saker punched a topless protester on the catwalk in Paris.
When modeling for fashion designer Nina Ricci on Thursday during Paris Fashion Week, Hollie May Saker was approached on the runway by an activist group called Femen. The Ukrainian protesters, in case you haven’t heard of the women, are topless as usual, which is probably more effective than simply holding up a picket sign.
Supermodel Hollie-May Saker was doing her thing on the runway when she heard yelling behind her. She was trying to stay calm until one of the protesters, with words of protest written in black all over her bare chest, lifted Hollie-May Saker’s skirt, exposing her as the topless protester grabbed the model’s arm. By reflex, the supermodel punched the topless protester square in the nose, and then felt a bit shaken up. As she returned to the back, she was scared of any possible consequences, but nobody said anything.
Apparently supermodel Hollie-May Saker punching the topless protester was something they felt the protester deserved. Security had grabbed the protester off the stage as she screamed, “fashion fascism.”
In retrospect, Hollie-May Saker says she wished she had done more:
“I was so angry but I knew I had to be professional so I carried on walking with a bit of sassiness. Thinking about it now I wish I’d pushed them both off the stage because they ruined my [favorite] show. I was really worried to come back stage but nobody said anything – I felt bad the moment it happened and I was very shaken up by it. I think if it had happened two years ago I would have run straight off the catwalk. It could have been worse, I could have fallen over.”

Hollie-May Saker says that the incident will not keep her from going back to the catwalk in the future, as she’s been modeling since she was 16 years old and she loves it. If anything, the incident may have actually sold the outfit more than usual as a sign of empowerment.
