NFL Power Rankings Have Seahawks Flying High

The new NFL power rankings are out and there aren’t many surprises. The Seahawks rightfully perch at the top, while the Broncos continue to gallop smoothly in second.

The Seattle Seahawks deserve to be number one. After three weeks, they have shown dominance in every aspect of the game. Their defense is the best and their offense is almost as good as Peyton Manning. Two blowout wins in a row leave little question about who the best team in the NFL is.

The Denver Broncos are about as easy a number two as you can get. If not for the Seahawks, the Peyton Manning show would be number one. These two teams could meet in the Super Bowl for what could be one of the greatest matches in NFL history.

The New England Patriots pushed up three spots in the NFL power rankings to land in third. They’re 3-0 and finally had a convincing win, beating the Buccaneers 23-3. Rob Gronkowski should be returning soon, giving Tom Brady his favorite target back.

The New Orleans Saints are number four this week. The return of Sean Payton, and a defensive coordinator who knows what he’s doing, make all the difference.

The 3-0 Miami Dolphins sailed into the number five spot. The choice could be controversial, except the Miami Dolphins are 3-0. To get there, they had to beat the Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Falcons. Still have questions?

The biggest drop in the NFL power rankings belongs to the tanking San Francisco 49ers. The previous number three team fell 13 spots to land at 16. The ranking is fair. To put it bluntly, San Francisco looks like they have no idea how to play football right now.

Do you agree with the new NFL power rankings?
