Jennette McCurdy Thanks Fans For Support After Mother’s Death

Former Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy is having a rough weekend. Her mother Debra passed away on September 20 after a 17-year-long battle with breast cancer.

McCurdy hasn’t commented on her mother’s death yet but the Nickelodon star has received several messages of love and comfort from her fans, friends and family.

Noah Munck, who starred alongside McCurdy on the show iCarly, wrote on Twitter: “Sending thoughts, prayers & deepest sympathy to my friend @jennettemccurdy. Your mom was so loved by the Munck fam. & will always be in my heart.”

McCurdy has talked about her mother’s struggle with breast cancer in the past. In 2010, she penned a heartfelt article about her second-hand experience with the disease for the Wall Street Journal.

McCurdy wrote: “In February 2010, my mother had sinus surgery and her doctors found breast cancer cells in her sinuses. After several scans, they also found cancer in her skull, lymph nodes, ribs, sternum, thoracic and lumbar spine and pelvis. And just a few weeks ago, they found cancer in my mother’s brain and she has started another round of chemotherapy for the cancer in the rest of her body. She can barely stand, yet she gets up before me in the morning so that she can make me a mug of hot chocolate… I don’t know how she does it, but she claims it’s what makes her happy.’

Debra was Jennette McCurdy’s biggest fan and her death will have a major impact on the Nickelodeon star. Thankfully, she has her fans, friends, and family to support her.

Jennette McCurdy is obviously going through a rough time at the moment and can use all of the love and support that she can get. The Nickelodeon star took to Twitter today to thank her fans for their loving messages.
