Tony Blair’s Daughter Kathryn Held At Gunpoint During Robbery

Tony Blair’s daughter Kathryn was held at gunpoint this week during an attempted robbery in London.

The BBC reports that Kathryn Blair and her boyfriend were walking down the street in Marylebone when they were confronted by two male suspects. According to the police report, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and attempted to rob Blair and her boyfriend.

Police say that no shots were fired and that nothing was taken from the former prime minister’s daughter.

A spokesman for the Blair family said said: “Kathryn was with a group of friends. No-one was hurt and nothing was stolen.”

The attempted robbery may be linked to another mugging in the area. Police say that a female victim was targeted by a male suspect about thirty minutes prior to the incident involving Kathryn Blair.

A police spokesman said: “On both occasions a firearm was seen but not used – no shots were fired. None of the victims were injured and nothing was stolen during the incidents.”

Police do not believe that Kathryn Blair was purposefully targeted. Still, one security expert was surprised to find out that Kathryn was out without security.

The expert told the Daily Mail: “It seems staggering that the daughter of a man who evokes such extreme emotions in some should be wandering around in the dark at night without protection. To think she had a gun pulled on her and was effectively defenseless raises massive questions about her personal safety. Thankfully she came to no harm but the potential terrorism threat is obvious.”
