Sevilla Fans Launch Campaign To Find Marko Marin A Wife To Keep Him In Spain

Soccer fans in Spain are so devastated that a loanee player for their team is set to leave that they’ve concocted a plan to keep him at the club, which revolves around finding him a wife.

Marko Marin is currently on loan at Sevilla from Chelsea, and he has so far impressed with his dynamic displays. Fans have become so enamored with the midfielder that they are planning to find him a Spanish wife, which would force him to stay at the club.

The German player was signed by Chelsea from Werder Bremen in 2012; however, he was unable to force his way into the English club’s starting eleven.

Marin was sent on loan to Sevilla in the summer in order to prove his worth for the reigning Europa League champions. He is currently on loan at Sevilla for one year.

The 24-year-old has been a sensation at the club even though he’s only played a handful of times for the side.

Marin scored twice in Sevilla’s first-leg Europa League play-off game with Poland’s Slask Wroclaw while his first strike for the club came in their 3-1 victory against Manchester United, which they played for Rio Ferdinand’s testimonial.

Now the German newspaper, Bild, has reported that Sevilla supporters have launched a campaign to find Marko Marin a local girl from the Spanish area, which would convince him to stay at the Adalusia.

In the past, Sevilla fans were able to find a girlfriend for Ivan Rakitic, a midfielder who was on loan at the soccer side from FC Schalke. She helped to convince him to stay in Spain even though there was firm interest from numerous other clubs.

Sevilla played Barcelona on Sunday in La Liga, and, despite being two-nil down with only 10 minutes remaining, they were able to almost claim a draw in the Nou Camp after they struck two late goals. However, an Alexis Sanchez goal in stoppage time gave the Spanish champions an undeserved victory.
