Was Eminem ‘Berzerk’ On ESPN Awkward Interview?

Rapper Eminem appeared briefly on ESPN this weekend during the Michigan-Notre Dame halftime show. He was there to introduce his video for the “Berzerk” track from his latest album Marshall Mathers LP 2, due for release on November 5.

Slim Shady introduced the video snippet during the break as the song is going to be part of the opener on Saturday Night Football. No one is quite sure whether Eminem smoked something before joining Kirk Herbstreit and Brent Musburger or if he was just nervous.

When asked by Brent what it was like working with Rick Rubin, Eminem said: “Sorry, live TV freaks me out a little bit. What was the question?”

The rap star continued to speak to the interviewers emphatically about his excitement for the new albums release… NOT! When asked what aspect excited him most about the new albums release he replied: “nothing.”

Trying to muster up something to say, he continued: “It’ll be out November 5, I’ll probably be most excited to just be done with it,” Eminem said. “It’s called ‘The Marshall Mathers LP 2,’ and it’s kind of a revisit to the first ‘Marshall Mathers LP,’ and that’s probably all I can say about it.”

So the question is, was Eminem stoned or just starstruck? He told Musberger that he was a legend on his “fantasy announcer team.” Musberger responded: “you, my friend, are the legend” to which Eminem simply said: “I’m really uncomfortable right now.”

We leave you to draw your own conclusions as to exactly what was going on in that slightly awkward interview. Was Eminen just acting “Berzerk,” or was he high or perhaps just starstruck?
