James Franco Wishes He Was Gay [Video]

James Franco got roasted on Comedy Central, and predictably, it was all gay jokes as far as the eye can see.

While Franco had to bend over for the roast, an event in which insults are the name of the game, the star is no stranger to gay rumors. And while Franco says he isn’t gay, he also says he has no problem with the scuttlebutt.

In fact, James adds, he thinks it would be easier to be gay than heterosexual… and he reflected on a night full of ribald and raunchy jokes.

Franco says that what you didn’t see on the Comedy Central Roast Of James Franco was even worse, and he explains the gay stuff was just a small part of it.

He says:

“There’s two sides to what happened in the roast. If that’s what they were going to make fun of me for, I was like, ‘Great! Bring on the gay jokes!’ because these aren’t insults at all. I don’t even care if people think I’m gay, so it was like, “Awesome!” I mean, I wish I was… I wish I was gay.”

It’s probably better he waited until after the roast to say that. But still, Franco says it was really no holds barred. Really.

James recalls:

“I’m not necessarily up on the comedy world, so it’s interesting to see what’s acceptable as far as gay jokes and Indian jokes. They had to cut about 40-60 minutes of it. But Jeff Ross was saying some crazy s***. They weren’t even funny, these jokes, they just gave me nightmares. He was referencing the Ohio kidnapper dude, abortion, it was just like… ‘oh, God.’ ”
