Miley Cyrus ‘Wrecking Ball’ Video Notches 16 Million Views, Smashes Vevo 24 Hour Record

Miley Cyrus reclaimed the Vevo record for most views in 24 hours with her new video “Wrecking Ball.”

Cyrus took the record from Justin Bieber earlier this summer when her song “We Can’t Stop” gained 10.7 million views in just 24 hours.

The country singer was topped about a month later by One Direction and their song “Best Song Ever.”

Miley didn’t like being number two and has been urging her fans to push “Wrecking Ball” back to the top.

Miley wrote on Twitter: “DONT STOP WATCHING WRECKING BALL WE HAVE 9 Hours More we can get the Views Higher! #WreckedTheRecord”

Of course, Cyrus probably didn’t need to encourage her fans too much to watch the new video. The country singer’s popularity surged to new heights after her VMA performance and many people were excited to see what she would do next.

And, you know, there’s also the fact that Miley Cyrus is basically naked in the new video. And wouldn’t you know it, sex sells.

Miley Cyrus reclaimed the Vevo record this morning after “Wrecking Ball” crossed the 12.3 million view mark.

And Miley didn’t just break the record. She destroyed it. The “Wrecking Ball” video now has close to 16 million views.

Here’s Miley Cyrus’ new video “Wrecking Ball.”
