Actress Thandie Newton is reportedly pregnant with her third child.
The acclaimed actress and husband Ol Parker already have two children together. Newton and Parker are the proud parents of 12-year-old Ripley and 8-year-old Nico.
Although a source confirmed the pregnancy, it’s unknown how far along Newton is at the moment.
“She couldn’t be more happy. You can barely tell she has a bump and she’s been dressing different because of it,” an insider recently dished to Us Weekly.
The folks at E! Online pointed out that Thandie Newton didn’t show any signs of being pregnant during her recent appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival. The actress is currently out and about promoting her latest cinematic endeavor Half of a Yellow Sun.
Directed by Biyi Bandele, this adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel follows the lives of four individuals during the struggle to establish an independent republic in Nigeria. In addition to Newton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Anika Noni Rose, and Joseph Mawle co-star in the feature.
“I read the book years ago, it’s ‘Gone With The Wind’ in Nigeria… it’s based on truth. It’s phenomenal this terrible war that occurred in the ’60s in Nigeria. I was in love with the book,” the actress explained during a recent interview.
She added, “[Olanna’s] the most extraordinary woman I’ve ever played. She’s a woman I aspire to be… she’s not Oprah, she is a regular woman who does extraordinary things.”
A movie and a new baby aren’t the only things keeping Thandie Newton busy these days. The actress is also headlining the television drama Rogue. The series tells the story of an undercover detective (Newton) and her quest to unravel the mystery behind her son’s death.
Congratulations to Thandie Newton and husband Ol Parker on their third child!
