Beyonce was featured in this year’s halftime show, when she took the stage in New Orleans during the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens game.

Prior to that, the NFL presented Madonna in 2012, The Black Eyed Peas with Usher and Slash in 2011, The Who in 2010, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in 2009.

The regular football season started this past Thursday and Sunday will see the first full day of games of 2013.

This year’s Super Bowl is highly anticipated because of its close proximity to New York City, which is a hub for entertainment, fine dining, and luxurious hotels.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has commented about the buzz surrounding the event taking place in early 2014, saying “more buzz around this Super Bowl this year than any Super Bowl in its history.”

Bruno Mars’ live performance is expected to attract millions of viewers when he takes the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show.
