Jack Osbourne’s Wife Suffers Miscarriage: ‘It’s Important To Stay Hopeful And Optimistic’

Jack Osbourne’s wife, Lisa, has suffered a late-term miscarriage.

The couple announced that they were expecting their second child together last month.

“I am in my second trimester, feeling great & trying not to eat everything in sight. We feel so blessed that our family is growing & Pearl will have a little brother or sister to play with,” Lisa Osbourne wrote on her website, Raddest Mom. “It’s crazy to think that we will soon be a family of four!”

Included in the post was a picture of Jack and Lisa Osbourne, holding up her positive pregnancy test, with their daughter, Pearl Clementine, who was born April 24, 2012.

Lisa Osbourne made the sad announcement on her website Thursday and posted the link to her Twitter page. She said she and Jack needed time to come to terms withe loss before sharing the news.

“I have been dreading this announcement… I needed some time before being able to say it. Jack and I lost our baby boy last week. Having a late term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through,” she wrote Friday morning.

“We appreciate all of your prayers and ask for privacy and respect during this time. It’s important to stay hopeful and optimistic through life’s toughest moments,” she continued. “We never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives.”

Jack Osbourne announced that he had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in June 2012, after experiencing symptoms for several years. Osbourne said he learned of his illness two weeks after Pearl was born, and that he had already lost 60 percent of the vision in his right eye when he finally went to the doctor.

“I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, ‘Why now?'” Osbourne told People magazine. He said he held on to the anger for a few days before realizing it would make things worse. He said his new motto is “adapt and overcome.”
