Man Scalped By Model Helicopter

A man scalped by his model helicopter in Brooklyn has died, according to a Thursday report from PIX11.com.

The news site stated that paramedics were called to the scene of the horrifying accident at Shore Parkway and Bay 44th Street. When they arrived, they found 19-year-old Roman Pirozek Jr., lying motionless. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Sources told the site that the blades of the copter had taken off the top of the young man’s head. When the accident occurred, he was reportedly flying the model with his father in Calvert Vaux Park.

Pirozek was an avid hobbyist with a YouTube channel devoted to his favorite pastime. (See video below from July 22, 2013.)

“First time putting the goggles on its pretty cool, easier than you think, it was something different for once and will hopefully get better as time goes on,” he said.

Pirozek maintained an active social media presence, as most teenagers do, with Twitter being one of his favorite hangouts.

Much of his feed was devoted to flying as well. However, his last tweet on September 2 signed off, “Its just so sad how f***ing retarded some people are, honestly…”

Pirozek graduated from the High School for Construction, Engineering and Architecture in 2012.

The school, established in 2006, is a Queens-based preparatory institute for art, industry, and technology, devoted to supporting its students in the fields of architecture, engineering or construction.

Unfortunately, the man scalped in this recent accident is the latest in a line of freak accidents that have taken people all too soon.

Recently, we told you about the father, who choked to death at his daughter’s wedding and three days ago, a Pennsylvania crash claimed the lives of two children and four adults.

As for the man scalped, The Inquisitr sends its condolences to the family.
