‘Destiny’: Bungie Says Thank You In New Trailer [Video]

In the latest Destiny trailer, Bungie says thank you to the fans.

Right around the time that the new consoles were announced, Bungie had made an announcement of their own. They were working on a new game that had nothing to do with Halo, and for months, all we had was a name. Bungie continued to tease us as they released hints with no actual details about the game itself.

Eventually we started getting details as major gaming events came along such as the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and Gamescom 2013. In the course of these events, what we saw of Destiny ended up awarded several times.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Destiny promises new character classes and weapons meant for each class, meaning that nobody can just run in and hog everything because the rest couldn’t get to it in time. In a way, Bungie is saying thank you to fans by making the playing field more fair.

The Destiny trailer where Bungie says thank you to the fans begins with scenes from E3 in Los Angeles, where we saw our first glimpse of the gameplay itself. The game won over 50 awards during that event alone.

Then in the gameplay footage, we see a towering gold structure amid the wreckage of some red building or something, and then some high overhead gameplay with lasers flying everywhere in some lush jungle ruins. The view of this battle then switches to a lower perspective as we get a closer look. Then we get a peak at what looks like a player literally teleporting off the screen.

The next portion shows us footage from Gamescom 2013 and the long lines to apparently view the demo. Again, Destiny was given awards for several things. The trailer then throws up the words, “Thanks for all your support and making this an amazing Summer.”

Some more gameplay footage rolls by before a Bungie rep audibly tells an audience, “Thanks for a great Summer, Bungie community.”

The Destiny trailer where Bungie says thank you ends shortly after the words on screen saying, “We can’t wait to show you what’s next.”
