Gina Gershon Channels Donatella Versace For Lifetime’s ‘House Of Versace’ [Photo]

Gina Gershon looks almost unrecognizable as Donatella Versace in the upcoming Lifetime original movie House of Versace. The film is scheduled to air later this year.

If fans of the designer had any doubts about the actress’ portrayal of Versace in the biopic, then the recently-released still from the flick should help soothe worries. With the help of a dedicated team of make-up artists, Gershon definitely looks the part.

The promotional photo for House of Versace finds the Showgirls star mimicking Donatella’s iconic pout. In order to nail the look, the actress reportedly stuffed cotton under her upper lip. The image also features Gina Gershon wearing a platinum blonde wig.

“She goes through an evolution — she physically changes, as we all know, and it was important to be as truthful about that as possible. It’s movie magic — a little tape and glue,” Gershon recently explained to the New York Post.

Based on House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival by author Deborah Ball, the Lifetime flick follows Donatella Versace’s life after the death of her brother Gianni Versace back in 1997.

The film will chronicle her rise and fall within the wilds of the fashion industry. The movie is also expected to tackle the fashion designer’s struggle with drug abuse and the affect it had on the entire company.

Joining Gina Gershon in House of Versace are Raquel Welch, Enrico Colantoni, and acclaimed actor Colm Feore. The project was helmed by Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen director Sara Sugarman and scripted by TV movie veteran Rama Laurie Stagner.

Fans of the actress can also catch her in John Suits’ The Scribbler, Xavier Koller’s Twisted, and Joseph Hahn’s star-studded drama Mall.
