Christie Brinkley Tears Up After Sending Son To College
Christie Brinkley said goodbye to summer this weekend with a couple of parties in the Hamptons but she also said goodbye to her son Jack.
The 59-year-old supermodel said that she finds herself tearing up when she thinks about her son going off on his own to Emerson College.
Brinkley said: “Whenever I stop and think about it I just weep.”
Brinkley may be sad that the day has finally arrived but she is excited about Jack’s future.
Back in July, Brinkley wrote on Facebook: “My son will soon be heading off to College, I am excited for him and soaking up every second I can enjoy with him before he heads out to make his mark!”
Brinkley has been through this before with her daughter Alexa and said that having a little routine makes it easier.
Alexa, Brinkley’s daughter with musician Billy Joel, has moved on from college to become a successful musician and now it’s Patrick’s turn. Brinkley may be a little broken up to see her son moving out of the house but the 59-year-old model still has one kid hanging around.
Brinkley and her 15-year-old daughter Sailor Cook were recently spotted out together at the 38th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton, New York. Brinkley looked stunning in a white frock and cowboy boots while Sailor took a slightly more casual approach.
