[VIDEO] First Fallout: New Vegas downloadable content revealed

Once a beloved prop of films starring Rutger and Ah-nold, the explosive neck collar is making a mini-comeback in videogames this year. First Enslaved: Odyssey to the West kept its hero in check with an explosives-packed brace, and now this must-have accessory will appear in Dead Money, the first downloadable content for Fallout: New Vegas.

In Dead Money, your character awakens (wearing aforementioned neck collar) in some kind of prison complex to the sound of a shadowy voice telling you to rob the vault of the Sierra Madre casino. As you do.

Along the way, you’ll have to track down three allies (a Ghoul, a Super Mutant, and a human wastelander from what I can tell) to help you on your way. If any of your friends die, ol’ Shadowy Voice hits the remote ‘Explode’ button, from whichever sinister lair he’s hiding in.

Dead Money is released December 21st for the Xbox 360, and will add new achievements, perks, terrain, and enemies, as well as raising the level cap to 35. I’m still only level 22, so some serious grinding is required, methinks!
