Jared Leto’s ‘Mr. Nobody’ Is Finally Headed To Theaters In The US

Jared Leto’s 2009 flick Mr. Nobody is finally headed to theaters in the US.

Although the film was completed years ago, North American distributors have steered clear of writer-director Jaco Van Dormael’s acclaimed drama. However, all of that is about to change next month.

Mr. Nobody is currently slated to hit theaters this November. If you can’t wait that long to check out Jared Leto’s movie, then you can check out the flick on VOD this September. Curious fans can also pick up a copy on iTunes. The folks at Magnolia are handling distribution in the US.

According to Film School Rejects, the movie premiered four years ago at the Venice Film Festival. Despite enjoying a healthy theatrical run in Belgium, no one felt the need to release the movie domestically.

In order to spread the good word about Mr. Nobody, Magnolia has dropped a new poster on the masses. You can find the latest artwork below. Unfortunately, a new trailer for the flick hasn’t been released as of this writing. Chances are that could change in the coming weeks.

Here’s how Wikipedia describes the flick:

In the year 2092, Nemo Nobody is a 118-year-old man, the last mortal on Earth. Humanity has conquered mortality through an endless renewal of cells, and the world now watches in fascination as Mr. Nobody edges towards death. Everyone wants to know the life that he has lived. Nemo himself says that he remembers nothing about his past and a psychiatrist, Dr. Feldheim, tries to make him recall memories through hypnosis; other memories are told to a journalist. Nemo spits out contradictory pieces as he is prodded, and no one is sure what happened and what didn’t. He is less than clear, often thinking that he is only 34 years old. He tells of his life at three primary points in his life: at age nine, when his parents get divorced; at age fifteen, when he fell in love; and at age thirty-four, living his adulthood — all three unraveled into many other realities in a nonlinear narrative.

Here’s the latest poster for Mr. Nobody.

Although the trailer is a few years old, it still sets the stage quite nicely.

Jared Leto fans can catch Mr. Nobody on VOD and iTunes beginning September 26. The film will hit select theaters across the US on November 1.
