New Amazon Kindle Sells “Millions”

Amazon today released a vague letter in which they announced huge sales for the newest Kindle in their line of eReaders.

According to the letter “in just the first 73 days of this holiday quarter, we’ve already sold millions of our all-new Kindles.”

Based on that singular statement, they have sold at least two million units, possibly more, sure it’s not a lot to go on, but if you throw in Kindle DX and other Kindle 2 sales it looks like 2009 has shaped up to be a great year for Amazon eReader sales, despite the vast popularity of the Apple iPad and slowly rolling out Google Android tablet based devices.

In fact Amazon’s Department of Creative Statistics has stated that the sales figure is greater than all Kindle sales in 2009.

Now if Amazon would just give us some solid numbers, perhaps during their end of year financial statements?
