Michelle Obama Dress: Tracy Reese Honored By First Lady’s Fashion Choice

While most people were talking about President Obama’s speech on the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, some people just couldn’t help but notice Michelle Obama looking fantastic in her Tracy Reese floral dress.

Michelle, who has won high marks from the fashion world during her time as the First Lady, joined her husband Barack on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial yesterday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” Speech.

Obama was wearing a black, sleeveless dress designed by Tracy Reese.

Reese said:

“We are honored that the first lady would choose to wear one of our designs during the celebration of such a deeply significant historical moment. Mrs. Obama’s radiance make our dresses shine!”

The Huffington Post has dubbed Tracy Reese as “Michelle Obama’s go-to designer” so it isn’t too surprising that she chose the black floral dress for the historic occasion.

Obama also wore a Reese dress for the Democratic National Convention. That dress sold out quickly and this one might too. But for the moment it is still available at ModCloth.com for $497.99.

People Magazine notes that Michelle Obama’s Tracy Reese dress wasn’t the only thing to get the fashion world talking. The First Lady also debuted some auburn highlights in her hair.
