Missing LSU Student Chris Broussard Found Dead In Truck

Police have been searching for Missing LSU student Chris Broussard since Tuesday night, and, unfortunately, they found him dead in his overturned truck on the side of the highway in Iberville Parish.

Police have not officially confirmed the news, but a message on the Find Chris Broussard Facebook page states that Broussard was killed in the car accident.

The message reads: “I wanted to say thank you to all of you on this page. My cousin has been found, but the worst we thought is true. Just keep my aunt, uncle, cousin, the rest of our family, and his fraternity in y’all’s prayers.”

According to Nola.com, Broussard’s 2004 Nissan Frontier was found overturned on highway 30 in Iberville Parish by a helicopter that was scanning the area for the missing LSU Student.

Kevin Ambeau, the St. Gabriel police chief, confirmed that a body was inside the car but he did not identify the driver as Broussard.

Unfortunately, messages on Facebook and Twitter indicate that the 22-year-old student died in the accident.

Andrew Lowery writes: “RIP Chris you were a good man! Ill be praying for your family and hope that you are watching over them!”

Broussard was last seen on Tuesday leaving a party in Baton Rouge. He texted his mother and told her that he would be home shortly. Sadly, Chris never arrived back at his home.
