Michael Buble And Luisana Lopilato Welcome Son [Photo]

Michael Buble and Luisana Lopilato welcomed their son, Noah, Tuesday.

Buble shared a picture of the baby boy on Instagram with the caption, “Overjoyed and filled with gratitude at the arrival of our son Noah Buble.”

Lopilato gave birth in a Vancouver hospital Tuesday morning at 2:26 am.

The couple announced that they were expecting back in January via a video on Lopilato’s YouTube account. Buble’s hit “Haven’t Met You Yet” — which he co-wrote for his wife — played in the background, and the words “Mike, LU, and…” scrolled across the screen. The video then segued into a film strip of Lopilato’s sonogram with “Mini Buble” written across the top. The video cuts to a picture of Buble and Lopilato, and then to a black background with the words, “We’re having a baby Buble! Vamos a tener un bebito Buble!”

The couple found out the baby’s gender on the same day Jorge Mario Bergoglio — better known as Pope Francis — was elected as the new leader of the Catholic Church. Lopilato took the timing as a sign, but Buble insisted their son wouldn’t be named after the new pope.

“[Luisana] said, ‘It is a sign,” Buble said. “But there’s no way we are going to call him Frank, even if it did work well for Frank Sinatra.”

Michael Buble and Luisana Lopilato met in November 2008 at a party thrown by the Canadian crooner’s record company after a concert in Buenos Aires. The couple dated for a year before getting engaged in November 2009. They were married March 31, 2011 in Buenos Aires, and had a full ceremony the following month.

Buble was previously engaged to actress Debbie Timuss until 2005. They co-wrote the song “Home” together, and she was featured in the video. After their engagement ended, Buble wrote “Lost.”

The same year his engagement ended, Buble met Emily Blunt at the Logie Awards. The two dated until 2008. Blunt provided background vocals for “Me and Mrs. Jones” and Buble wrote the song “Everything” for her.
