Mike Tyson: I’m An Alcoholic, On The Verge Of Dying

Things seem to be going well for Mike Tyson. The iconic boxer has a one man show in Las Vegas, he’s starting a career as a boxing promoter, and has made some successful cameos in movies like The Hangover.

But that isn’t the entire story. Tyson admitted today that he has been lying to his friends and family about his sobriety and says that he is on “the verge of dying.”

Tyson said that he’s trying to make amends with all of the people that he’s hurt over the years and that he doesn’t want to die before he reconciles with his friends and family.

Tyson said: “I’m a bad guy sometimes. I did a lot of bad things and I want to be forgiven. So in order for me to be forgiven, I hope they can forgive me. I wanna change my life, I wanna live a different life now. I wanna live my sober life. I don’t wanna die. I’m on the verge of dying, because I’m a vicious alcoholic.”

Tyson said that he’s been trying to stay sober but frequently falls back on bad habits. The boxer said that he’s been sober for six days now and that he considers that a miracle.

Tyson said: “I haven’t drank or took drugs in six days, and for me that’s a miracle. I’ve been lying to everybody else that think I was sober, but I’m not. This is my sixth day. I’m never gonna use again.”
