Brits can buy Donkey Kong Country with bananas

There’s a cute offer being made to UK gamers this Friday – if they turn up at certain branches of GAME or GameStation on that day with a bunch of bananas (yes, real bananas), they’ll be able to exchange them for a free copy of the Wii’s excellent Donkey Kong Country Returns. Ha!

Alas, there is – as with everything good and hopeful in life – a catch. Only the first 20 customers to do this will get the game; any others will be turned away, admittedly with a vitamin C-enriched future. Oh, and the other catch: only a handful of stores are currently supporting this promotion:

– All GAME stores on Oxford Street, London
– GAME at Merry Hill, Dudley
– GameStation at Prospect Centre, Hull

The offer kicks off from 8am this Friday morning. As you can see, the game looks fun as hell:
