2 Chainz Misses Party After Cop Stop, Complains On Twitter
Rapper 2 Chainz was detained in Oklahoma City briefly, after his tour bus was pulled over and searched.
According to 2 Chainz himself, police often use the “we smelled marijuana” excuse to stop and search the tour vehicle, and he’s getting tired of it.
But MSN reports a slightly less innocent version of the story, saying that 2 Chainz’s bus got the stop and frisk treatment due to a broken taillight.
The site says that police then searched the tour bus, and that there were drugs on board. MSN explains:
“Cops in Oklahoma City pulled over the star’s tour bus on Wednesday night after spotting a broken taillight. After the driver refused to allow them entry to search the vehicle for drugs, he was arrested, and the bus door was then locked from the inside, preventing the police from entry.”
Cops then went further, the site adds:
“The bus was then towed to a nearby police station, where the remaining people on board were booked on obstruction charges. Police also reportedly found narcotics on the bus, but did not know to whom they belonged.”
By Thursday, bail was posted in the amount of two large, and 2 Chainz and crew were free to go — but not in time to make their next event.
The Chainz gang was supposed to hit New York for a Conde Nast Bon Appetit party, for the release of “B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time,” and a cookbook to go along with it. However, there wasn’t enough time to make the trip.

2 Chainz tweeted that despite the OKC hassle, he was headed up to NYC regardless.
