MySpace Debuts New WebKit Enabled Website For Various Mobile Devices

MySpace, in their fight to stay relevant officially announced today a new mobile optimized website that supports all modern Webkit enabled browsers.

If you’re unfamiliar with WebKit, in this case it basically means all iOS devices, Android device, Palm Devices, Symbian^3 and BlackBerry 6 devices can pull up the new mobile site.

As expected from the recent MySpace realigning, music, celebrity news and video content can be found on the mobile site, however music streaming has been left off the current version of the website.

MySpace reps have also announced a new iPhone app which is expected to be released in the next few weeks, a good call considering they haven’t updated their iPhone app since January 2010, leaving it without push notifications, instant messaging or status updates. [via AllThingsD]
