Ben Affleck Batman Workout: Actor Training Two Hours A Day To Get Buff Bat Body

Ben Affleck will be playing Batman in the new Man Of Steel sequel and he’s already started working on his superhero physique.

According to US Magazine, Affleck is working with his trainer for two hours a day in order to get a buff Batman body. The movie is already in pre-production stages but Affleck still has a few months before he has to report to set.

According to Forbes, Batman Vs. Superman is expected to start shooting in early 2014 in Toronto. The movie will hit theaters the following year.

Warner Bros. announced that Ben Affleck would play Batman, writing: “We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular superheroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some. His outstanding career is a testament to his talent.”

This isn’t the first time that Afleck has played a superhero. The last time that Affleck played a comic book character was in 2003 when he starred in Daredevil. The movie was widely mocked and an embarrassed Affleck said that he would never play a superhero again.

Of course, ten years later Affleck is in a new phase of his career. He recently won an Oscar and is now one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood.

Director Zack Snyder said: “Ben provides an interesting counterbalance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”
