A Daytona man died for 45 minutes and was revived just moments before his body headed to the morgue.
Tony Yahle was found by his family members who immediately discovered he had no pulse. The man's family members attempted to perform CPR on his lifeless body as they awaited help from paramedics.
Yahle was rushed to the nearby Kettering Medical center with no heartbeat. After "dying" for 45 minutes with no vital signs, doctors gave up on his recovery.
Just as hospital officials were preparing to cart the man off, his son revived him with his words. The son tells TV10:
"I pointed at him and I said, 'Dad, you're not going to die today. I stood there for about a few more seconds."Out of nowhere, the man who had died for 45 minutes began to show life for the first time in nearly an hour.
Yahle was taken to the OSU Wexner Medical Center, and five days later he woke up from a coma.
Doctors have no idea why the man's heartbeat stopped or how it restarted after 45 minutes with no vital signs.
Last week, Yahle was released from the hospital, and now he is "feeling fine."
Surviving a 45 minute death is amazing, but it also has to be frightening because the man has no idea why he died. Yahle also doesn't understand how he came back to life.
