Gia Allemand’s Suicide Came After Heated Argument [Report]

The latest rumor concerning Gia Allemand’s suicide is that she hanged herself after a heated argument with her boyfriend, NBA star Ryan Anderson.

TMZ reports that Allemand wrapped a vacuum cleaner cord around her neck several times and tied the other end to her staircase. She also apparently left a suicide note that bequeaths all of her property to her mother.

The rumor of the now is that Allemand got into an argument with Anderson earlier in the day, and that she accused him of cheating on her. He allegedly told her that he didn’t love her anymore before leaving. He returned to find her with the cord wrapped around her neck.

She was rushed to the hospital after she was discovered on August 12, but she had already been deprived of oxygen for more than an hour. Her family chose to remove her from life support two days later.

After her death, Anderson released an emotional statement which read:

“I’m deeply grateful for all the love and support we have received from family, friends and fans. Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out and she always smiled and made everyone else around her smile. She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared.”

Allemand’s mother has refuted speculation about to her daughter’s motives for suicide, and her friends are still struggling with the lack of closure over her shocking death.

A funeral for Allemand is set for Thursday in her hometown of Queens, New York.
