Judd Nelson Added To CW’s ‘Nikita’

Brat Pack member Judd Nelson will be joining The CW’s Nikita for its final season.

Yahoo reports that the 53-year-old Breakfast Club star has joined the fourth and final season of the spy drama, which will consist of six episodes.

We don’t know exactly who he’ll play, but TVLine suggested that his character will be incredibly important to the show’s mythology. He is described as “a deep-cover operative working for the nefarious duo of Amanda and The Shop’s Mr. Jones.”

He’s also a “major player in a worldwide plot that only Team Nikita can stop” and is apparently carrying a secret that will “alter the very fabric of the Nikitaverse.” It’s not like he’s Nikita’s father or anything, though. Wait, is he supposed to be her father?

Anyway, Nikita‘s truncated fourth season will air midseason, and will run for the full six episodes, not three two-hour installments as series star Maggie Q implied recently. The CW’s president Mark Pedowitz clarified this rumor at the TCA press tour, but did say that the final two episodes could be shown together as a finale event.

It kind of sounds like Nelson is being brought in as the final season’s “Big Bad” or something. But who knows? Former fan of the film Nikita and the previous series La Femme Nikita though I am, I was never really able to get into The CW’s series.

But it’s nice to see John Bender getting gigs.

Are you a fan of Nikita? Who do you think Judd Nelson will be playing?
