Taylor Swift Swiftly Digs On Kanye West With Ed Sheeran, Jam
Taylor Swift is still hung up on a man who did her wrong, but this one wasn’t a boyfriend: It was Kanye West.
You remember it. Swift’s “You Belong With Me” was named Best Female Video at the MTV Music Awards in 2009, and she excitedly approached the stage to make her acceptance speech.
She was abruptly interrupted by rapper Kanye West who grabbed the mic and declared that Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” was “one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”
Beyonce was classy about it, and invited Swift back onstage to finish her acceptance speech when she won for Video of the Year. Kanye later apologized, and everything was all good.
But Swift is still cracking jokes about it years later. Her pal and tour buddy Ed Sheeran is nominated for Best Male Video at the VMAs this year, and Swift decided to congratulate him with a unique gift: Homemade jam.
On the label, she wrote:
“Yo Ed—I’m really happy 4 you and I’m gonna let u finish but this is the best JAM OF ALL TIME. —T”
Sheeran posted the image on his Instagram account:
The Kanye snub is a joke that Swift gets a lot of mileage out of, too. Back in July, when the VMA nominations were released, she tweeted:
